Dental decay is the most common cause of root canal treatment. It causes pulpitis (pulp inflammation), resulting in acute and persistent pain. In the final stage, pulp necrosis and gangrene as well as periapical tissue infections may occur. A well-conducted root canal treatment allows you to save many teeth and re-treat teeth that were not properly treated many years ago (revision, re-endo). It is the basic foundation for further construction of the crown and bridge, for aesthetic and functional reconstruction. The latest generation German microscope, the Leica 320 M, allows a magnification of up to 30 times.
Working in magnification treatments can be carried out with the precision not available until a few years ago, even in the most difficult conditions. Thanks to the endometer- a device used for the electronic measurement of the length of channels, the length of the channels is determined with accuracy, which allows maximum precision and safety. One of the basic conditions for carrying out proper root canal treatment is performing cofferdam surgery. The cofferdam procedure increases comfort and safety. It isolates the tooth from the access of saliva and the bacteria it contains and protects the mucosa from chemical and mechanical irritation. It also protects the oral cavity against the influx of fluids used to work on and disinfect tooth canals. The procedure also eliminates the use of the much disliked cotton rolls or wadding. Correctly performed root canal treatment allows for the maximum extension of the duration of dental management and performed prosthetic restorative treatments in Dental office.
